Held By Women
A monthly women's circle of voices, rhythm and mutual holding

About the Circle
Once a month, an intergenerational group of women gathers to hold one another — with voice, rhythm and presence. Sometimes with wrapping. Sometimes with drumming. Always with care.
Singing improvisation is at the heart of every gathering. No lyrics, no performance, no good or bad voice — just exploration, listening, playfulness and the particular joy of singing together without judgment. Each gathering is an invitation to discover, free and enjoy your voice, held by the warmth of the women around you.
Mid-journey, we pause together over herbal tea and fruit.
The circle closes in silence — leaving space for each woman to stay with what has moved through her, to feel its impact before it needs to be understood or put into words.
Limited to 9 women. No experience needed. Just a willingness to arrive and be met.
The Roots Of These Circles
We all sang as children. Most of us stopped — not because we lost our voices, but because somewhere along the way we were taught that singing belonged to those with the “right” voice.
In Western culture, singing is often treated as a performance — a skill to be perfected and evaluated. And quietly, many of us stepped back.
But the voice is not simply a talent. It is part of the body. Breath, vibration, resonance, presence. When we hum, tone and sing, something shifts — in our bodies, our nervous systems and in the space between us. And when we make sound together, we begin to listen and respond to one another in ways that words cannot always reach.
This circle is an invitation to come back to that — to explore the voice you already have, supported and witnessed by other women, each at her own pace, all co-creating something magical together.
There are no songs to learn and no lyrics to follow. Guided through a series of vocal invitations, we improvise together, creating unique sound spaces shaped by whoever we are that evening and whatever we bring with us.
Something beautiful emerges each time. Something that could only have been made by us, together.
